What you’ll do:
- Engage with potential government prospects over email and phone to qualify and set meetings for Sales Directors
- Identify target customers for Virtualitics through email, phone, and social channels
- Facilitate the onboarding of leads and accounts with simpler requirements, leveraging our knowledge resources
- Maintain active engagement with leads through informed, creative follow-ups
- Learn how a variety of government organizations operate, what challenges they face daily, and how Virtualitics’ solutions can dramatically improve their businesses
- Conduct weekly analysis of the Business Development pipeline and develop strategic plans to further cultivate network growth.
- Research and develop prospective accounts
- Working closely with Sales Directors to identify qualified accounts and define strategies for outreach
- Achieve monthly quotas for developed leads and qualified meetings
- Assist Sales Directors with creating presentations and other sales materials as needed
Your qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in government business development, ideally in SaaS
- Intelligent, curious, and driven to succeed in a career in sales at a tech startup
- Able to quickly engage potential customers over email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.
- You are clear, concise, and accurate in your communications, both written and verbally
- Have a knack for adapting to a conversation as it progresses and a real passion for results: you gain great satisfaction from converting prospects into qualified leads
- Learn quickly and are excited by new technologies, quickly mapping them to business processes
- Open to coaching, training, and constructive feedback
- Hungry to progress your career and make a difference
- Know how to effectively manage your time to complete objectives
- Experience being accountable to metrics, often exceeding them
- You thrive in a high energy team environment
- Familiar with Salesforce CRM
- A strong interest in data analysis and artificial intelligence
