ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Development Rep (BDR) plays a critical role, as this individual is often the first contact point a prospect will have with our company. You will report to the Director of Sales and support Signal Sciences’ midmarket and Enterprise Account Executives to identify, prospect, create and help qualify sales opportunities. This person must demonstrate all the behaviors associated with a high-performance sales culture, create quality sales opportunities with decision makers and deliver consistent results against a quota.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect, educate, target and qualify target prospects to schedule sales qualified meetings with decision makers
- Leverage resources effectively to create targeted messaging to different roles within a target company
- Converse with prospects via email and telephone
- Assign Sales Qualified meetings to the appropriate Account Executive
- Successfully overcome prospect objections
- Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas
- Provide feedback to ensure continued optimization and improvement of our process
REQUIREMENTS
- University or college degree
- 1-2 years of lead generation experience (B2B preferred)
- Strong writing skills, demonstrating an ability to make succinct and clear points
- Strong listening skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Salesforce.com experience not required, but is a plus
