Business Development Manager (Enterprise Sales)

The Business Development Manager is a critical part of our sales team and responsible for driving higher sales efficiency and productivity, increasing customer conversion rates, and relationship building. We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious and results-oriented individual. The right candidate will be a detail oriented energetic person with passion and innate drive to excel at any task. As is typical with start-ups, this role goes beyond a traditional function – the person must have ability to act independently in an unstructured environment, operate proactively and be deeply committed to our vision of connecting people with the experiences and companies that align with their interests.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior sales executive focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities in the corporate enterprise space.

  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of net new business through proactive outreach, managing marketing qualified leads, and targeted account mappings

  • Structuring 5-6 figure Enterprise level agreements

  • Identifying new revenue opportunities and creative ways to grow the business

  • Creating strong relationships with key decision makers

  • Building a contact list through research and outbound communication

  • Educating accounts, prospects and decision makers on Surkus enterprise products and value proposition

  • Working closely with assigned client engagement manager to create strategy, focus, and prioritization within assigned territory and/or account list

 

Requirements:

  • Experience selling Sponsorships, Live Activations/Events

  • 5+ years of outbound enterprise sales experience working with corporate brands in the Fortune 1000 and their AOR

  • Experience closing enterprise deals

  • SaaS sales experience preferred, not required

  • Process-oriented sales approach with emphasis on client facing activity, management of pipeline & negotiating Enterprise level agreements

  • Proven results in consistently exceeding sales targets

  • Proven ability to foster relationships with key decision makers

  • Proven ability to increase pipeline and close new business through self-directed prospecting

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments to facilitate current and future business requirements

  • Strong self-starter who is a team player and can work independently

  • Proficient with Salesforce, Excel and Powerpoint
