Job DescriptionResponsibilities

  • Management and oversight of all sales and use tax audits for GE HealthCare.

  • Gather/manage requested information to respond to IDR, including sales tax returns, exemption certificates, & invoices for sales & purchases.

  • Prepare IDR response & document requests.

  • Prepare and facilitate execution of Power of Attorney forms and waivers.

  • Review proposed audit assessment.

  • Engage in negotiations with auditors & manage protests.

  • Communicate audit results to business support and compliance team.

  • Comprehensive tax research and analysis on various sales/use tax issues to ensure proper tax treatment of transactions.

  • General Business Support

  • Projects including overpayment reviews and effective tax rate determination & implementation.

  • Sales and use tax support and cross training within GEHC tax.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience or equivalent in industry.

  • Strong technical background that includes an understanding of the relationship between sales and use tax technical issues and solutions and the compliance process.

  • Solid PC skills: experience with financial & tax systems/applications (Oracle/SAP/PeopleSoft, Vertex/OneSource)

  • Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (pivot tables, VLookup, Macros, etc.).

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $100,800.00-$151,200.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
