Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with commercial leaders to identify learning needs and align them with business objectives. Support the shift from a product-centric to a solution-oriented mindset, emphasizing customer-aligned and outcomes-focused approaches.
- Program Development and Delivery: Design, develop, and deliver engaging and impactful learning programs, including both virtual and in-person workshops, e-learning modules, and blended learning solutions. Leverage adult learning principles to create innovative and effective training materials.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all training programs comply with regulatory requirements and company policies. Promote and implement best practices in learning and development within the commercial organization.
- Business Acumen: Assist the Business Acumen Field Trainers in developing territory and individual customer strategies and support new sales tool rollouts. Guide new sales leaders in best practices for coaching their teams on opportunity management and documentation, and with ensuring alignment with wider business initiatives.
- Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with first and second-level sales leadership across businesses to advocate, establish, and evolve opportunity management, deal strategies, and customer meeting strategies.
- Market Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitor activities to ensure training content is current and relevant. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update training materials.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and manage training vendor relationships and ensure adherence to all relevant policies.
- Continuous Feedback and Improvement: Engage sales representatives, sales leaders, and business leaders for ongoing feedback and needs assessment of the PDx commercial community.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze training data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and demonstrate the value of learning initiatives. Prepare and present reports to senior management on the impact of training programs. Measure program effectiveness and adapt content or delivery to improve satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change, and business results.
- Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification in Learning and Development, Training, or Organizational Development is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in sales enablement, sales coaching, or a similar role within a commercial environment. Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs for commercial teams.
- Desired Skills:
- Strong understanding of sales processes, opportunity management, and customer engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
- Experience in instructional and curriculum design and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and learning experience platforms (LXP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including the ability to create PowerPoint training presentations.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to solve complex problems and translate vision into achievable results.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Highly flexible, resourceful, and resilient.
- Demonstrated ability to lead without authority and accomplish goals within a matrixed environment.
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Power BI.
- Familiarity with managing agency/vendor partners.
- Collaborative Environment:
This remote-based role (with occasional travel, approximately 25%) involves collaboration with:
- Front-line Sales Representatives from all GE HealthCare PDx USCAN strategic business units.
- Market and Zone Managers (first-level leaders).
- Regional and Cross-Functional Leaders and Global Sales Enablement
- USCAN Commercial Excellence team, Learning & Development team, and other USCAN sales and marketing leaders.
