 Why Charlie Health?

Millions of people across the country are navigating mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, but too often, they’re met with barriers to care. From limited local options and long wait times to treatment that lacks personalization, behavioral healthcare can leave people feeling unseen and unsupported.

Charlie Health exists to change that. Our mission is to connect the world to life-saving behavioral health treatment. We deliver personalized, virtual care rooted in connection—between clients and clinicians, care teams, loved ones, and the communities that support them. By focusing on people with complex needs, we’re expanding access to meaningful care and driving better outcomes from the comfort of home.

As a rapidly growing organization, we're reaching more communities every day and building a team that’s redefining what behavioral health treatment can look like. If you're ready to use your skills to drive lasting change and help more people access the care they deserve, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

Charlie Health is seeking a Sales Training & Development Manager with deep experience in leadership development and complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders to train and develop the next generation of high-performing Outreach Representatives and Sales Leaders. In this role, you will create, deliver, and optimize training programs that empower sales reps to thrive in complex healthcare environments—particularly within mental health—and build the foundation for developing strong Outreach sales leadership across our national team.

You will work closely with Clinical Outreach leaders to design scalable, data-informed programming that improves rep productivity, accelerates new hire ramp, and equips future leaders to coach, inspire, and lead their teams effectively. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the growth and culture of Charlie Health’s field sales organization and contribute directly to our mission of solving the mental health crisis.

We’re a team of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life-saving solutions. If you’re inspired by our mission and energized by the opportunity to increase access to mental healthcare and impact millions of lives in a profound way, apply today.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver sales training programs for Outreach Representatives focused on enterprise and specialty healthcare accounts, ensuring they are prepared to engage with high-level decision-makers across behavioral health, hospital systems, payors, and provider networks.
  • Develop leadership training programs and coaching pathways for Outreach Managers and Directors, with a focus on growing high-potential team members into effective, mission-driven sales leaders.
  • Support the management and optimization of key training and development programs, including onboarding, mentorship, new product launches, sales tools/systems training, and field leadership development.
  • Partner with Regional/Senior Regional Directors, Growth Strategy, and VP of Outreach to identify gaps in performance or skills, and proactively adapt training programs to meet evolving team and market needs.
  • Continually measure the impact and efficacy of training efforts using clear KPIs related to ramp time, productivity, and leadership readiness.
  • Audit and maintain training content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Charlie Health’s mission.
  • Collaborate with marketing and enablement vendors to ensure new hires are equipped with high-impact sales materials and messaging tools from day one.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of sales experience in healthcare or behavioral healthcare, with a strong understanding of clinical referral dynamics and relationship-building across complex health systems.
  • Related experience training, mentoring, or teaching, ideally working directly with sales professionals.
  • Experience leading a team or helping to develop team leaders, with the ability to coach, inspire, and scale high-performing teams.
  • Engaging presenter and facilitator, comfortable leading interactive in-person and virtual training sessions for groups of varying sizes and seniority.
  • Experience with sales enablement tools, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), LMS platforms, and digital content creation (slides, video, longform).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities and execute independently in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Passion for improving access to behavioral healthcare and alignment with Charlie Health’s mission.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
