The ideal candidate is both a trusted technical advisor and a business consultant, skilled at uncovering customer needs, developing tailored solutions, and driving deals to close. Best candidate will reside in central or west regions.

Your Role:

Sales Enablement & Pre-Sales Engagement

  • Partner with Account Executives, Channel Managers, and VARs to develop winning sales strategies and solution proposals.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to identify business challenges, define requirements, and map Sangoma solutions to measurable outcomes.
  • Deliver high-impact technical presentations, demos, and webinars that communicate value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Translate complex solution capabilities into clear business value propositions that accelerate the sales cycle.

  • Support RFPs, technical proposals, and competitive positioning, highlighting differentiators that strengthen Sangoma’s market advantage.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless handoff from sales to delivery, maintaining customer confidence throughout the process.

Channel Partner Collaboration

  • Enable Sangoma’s partner ecosystem (VARs, Agents, TSDs) through technical training, co-selling, and deal support.
  • Participate in joint sales calls, events, and workshops to strengthen partner relationships and build technical credibility.
  • Provide real-world feedback from partners and customers to Product Management, influencing roadmap priorities and feature enhancements.

Market Engagement & Evangelism

  • Represent Sangoma as a technical thought leader at trade shows, partner events, and industry conferences.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor solutions, and emerging technologies, positioning Sangoma as an innovative alternative in every sales conversation.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and equip sales teams with tools to overcome technical objections and win deals.

Performance & Travel

  • Actively contribute to sales growth and pipeline development by supporting sales teams through the full sales cycle—from qualification to close.
  • Travel up to 25–30% for customer meetings, partner visits, and industry events.

Requirements
  • 3 to 5+ years in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solutions Consulting within UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, or telecommunications industries.
  • Proven track record supporting channel-driven or enterprise sales models to achieve revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of VoIP, SIP, PBX systems (Switchvox, Asterisk, PBXact), SBCs, and networking fundamentals (QoS, VLANs, NAT, firewalls).
  • Strong ability to translate technical features into business benefits that resonate with C-level and non-technical buyers.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, capable of influencing both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Account Executives, VARs, and distributors to close complex communication deals.
  • Organized, responsive, and able to balance multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: SIP, VoIP, Asterisk, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA.
  • Hands-on familiarity with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales collaboration tools.
  • Knowledge of API integrations, automation workflows, and hybrid communication environments.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
