Athlete to Athlete is a fast-growing, venture-backed start-up based in Los Angeles that offers Athletic Mentorship and Coaching Programs for youth athletes. In our programs, student-athletes are paired with a current Division 1 College-Athlete Mentor who plays their sport and can help build their confidence, taking their game to the next level. Our mission is to build the next generation of driven, confident, and resilient student-athletes through mentorship.

About the Role
As a Sales Operations Intern, you will be a key part of the team helping us grow and manage our Athlete Mentors this summer. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for a curious, detail-oriented student who wants real-world startup experience. You’ll contribute directly to critical sales operations, from managing mentor outreach to helping match our young athletes with the right mentors.
You’ll work closely with our Sales team to support mentor recruitment, Mentor database management (non-technical), and day-to-day sales operations. This internship is on-site in Santa Monica and runs from as soon as possible through early-to-mid August.

Responsibilities

  • Help match incoming athletes with suitable mentors based on background and sport
  • Assist with mentor outreach and follow-ups
  • Support mentor recruitment efforts and assist in vetting new candidates
  • Update and maintain our athlete supply and internal athlete database
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve our mentor/athlete matching

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Comfortable working in Google Sheets and managing basic data
  • Great attitude and strong communication skills
  • Able to commute to our Santa Monica office
  • Available from now through early-to-mid August
  • Critical thinker with good judgment and follow-through
  • Team player who wants to be part of something meaningful
  • Previous job or internship experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Have

  • College athlete or past involvement in high school sports
  • General knowledge of colleges, recruiting, or youth athletics

Athlete to Athlete offers experience with a fast paced VC backed Start-Up. Along with Training and an introduction to high volume B2C sales.
