Overview

The Sales Manager at Hyer Boots is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales growth, supporting territory managers, and expanding market presence. As a key representative of the company, the Sales Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, this individual will align sales strategies with company objectives, collaborate across departments, and represent Hyer Boots at industry events to solidify the brand's presence in the Western and rodeo communities.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Representative Management
- Develop and support a comprehensive business development plan to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Set and track sales team goals to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with representatives to identify target accounts and create actionable plans for business growth.
- Generate and review reports to assist in setting sales goals for territories and departments.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a robust CRM tool to streamline communication and track account activities across internal staff and sales representatives.
- Design and implement SPIFFs and other sales growth initiatives, ensuring clear communication with sales representatives.
- Provide sales representatives with tools, training, and resources to enhance their performance.
- Participate in the hiring process for open sales positions and assist in onboarding and training new sales representatives.
- Call on unassigned and house accounts to maintain customer relationships and identify new opportunities.

In-store and Retailer Marketing Execution
- Attend alignment meetings with the marketing team to ensure business objectives and initiatives are met.
- Manage and oversee marketing funds and programs (e.g., MDF) shared between departments, collaborating with territory representatives to create tailored growth initiatives.
- Analyze implemented MDF programs, evaluating success and identifying areas for adjustment.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to design and execute effective campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention.

Sales Strategy:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the sales team to ensure smooth operations and alignment with goals.
- Attend industry shows, such as Mid-States and Market (WESA), to increase brand visibility and secure business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Assist in identifying and activating new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, collaborations, and distribution channels.
- Build and maintain key relationships across the industry and with strategic partners.

Key Account Management:
- Build, monitor, and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
- Analyze business performance within key accounts and identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and execute strategies that drive account growth and retention.
- Support accounts with B2B site navigation and assist in ensuring smooth operations.

Sales & Product Alignment
- Participate in prototype and line close meetings to align sales strategies with product development and channel priorities.

Travel Expectations
- Approximately 100 travel days annually, including attendance at events, trade shows, and field visits with representatives.
