Marketing

  • Oversee all marketing efforts including digital ads, email, influencer partnerships, content, SEO, and brand campaigns
  • Optimize performance across Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok Shop with a strong focus on ROAS and conversion
  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches
  • Collaborate closely with the Branding and Product teams to ensure messaging aligns with Alabaster’s brand and mission

Sales

  • Own sales channel performance across DTC (Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop) and wholesale (Ingram)
  • Manage relationships with external partners like Ingram and key platform reps (Amazon, TikTok)
  • Oversee merchandising, promotions, product listings, and seasonal sales planning
  • Lead forecasting and inventory planning in collaboration with Operations
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce marketing, sales, or growth—ideally in a DTC brand or consumer product company
  • Proven experience managing both marketing and sales teams, strategies, and KPIs
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategy, tools, and platforms (Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue across e-commerce channels
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; experience building and developing talent
  • Highly analytical and organized, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Passion for Alabaster’s mission and values

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop, or wholesale distribution via Ingram
  • Background in publishing, e-commerce, or consumer goods industries
  • Experience in an early-stage or fast-growing e-commerce brand

  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Enjoy various stipends for work and wellness, and a generous 85% discount on company products.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven, and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Opportunity to directly impact the financial strategy of a rapidly growing e-commerce company.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
