Job Description

The Sales Leader will oversee and manage a team of Account Managers, focusing on driving sales growth, customer satisfaction, and team development in the Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden). This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to build and maintain high-performance sales teams.

This position reports to the General Manager of Mid-Tier Markets.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Account Managers, Inside Sales, and Clinical Sales Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure team success.
  • Set clear performance expectations, sales targets, and goals for the team, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Keep the team informed about product updates, industry trends, and best practices to ensure they can effectively sell and support customers.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Finance, Demand Planning, and Customer Services, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer support.
  • Act as a strong change leader during business transformation processes.
  • Communicate customer feedback and market insights to relevant stakeholders to drive product and service improvements.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. Pro-active price management is a key aspect in this.
  • Define and review annual account plans in close collaboration with the sales team and ensure a disciplined execution against these plans.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for sales growth and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Oversee key strategic account relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to Account Managers in managing and growing customer relationships.
  • Address escalated customer issues and work with the team to develop solutions that meet customer needs.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the General Manager Mid-Tier Markets on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjust sales strategies as needed.

Key Requirements for Success:

    • Significant experience in sales with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
    • Strong understanding of sales principles, practices, and customer relationship management.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities.
    • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused attitude and a passion for driving sales success.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools (e.g. Salesforce.com, Vistex and PowerBI).
    • Experience in the fields of contrast media and/or molecular imaging diagnostics are a pre.
