ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Sales Financial Analyst II to be responsible for supporting the Sales Finance Manager in a wide range of pricing/costing bids, reporting, and analytics functions, while providing cross-functional business partner support to commercial team members. As the Sales Financial Analyst II, you will work with Sales Operations to develop the price strategy and provide real-time pricing support. You will report directly to the Sales Finance Manager within GILLIG’s Finance Department while sitting within and supporting the Sales team directly.  This is a highly visible role that is best suited for a highly motivated individual who is looking to improve processes and drive the business forward. 

As the Sales Financial Analyst II, you will report to the Manager, Sales Finance. 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Create and own a Sales costing/pricing model to assist in winning new bids
  • Partner with Cost Accounting to understand current bus costing models
  • Review and interpret contract terms to inform pricing strategies for bids
  • Prepare bus quotes timely and accurately for outside Sales Managers, create templates for driving standardization.
  • Work with Project Sales Managers by providing training on pricing strategy processes and tools; reviewing and providing feedback on pricing strategies; and assisting in the preparation of analytics
  • Create and maintain a competitive tracking database to capture competition information on all new bids
  • Partner with Aftermarket Parts (Spares) and Customer Care (Extended Coverage & Training) Teams on pricing
  • Present bids to leadership with suggested margin and bus price

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years Finance and/or Accounting experience
  • Strong process organization, project management with multiple work streams, and coordination of internal/external resources
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of financial module of an ERP (e.g., Infor Syteline, SAP, Oracle), and the CRM platform, Salesforce
  • Strong analytical and technical skills – must be able to model business requirements and prepare "what-if" analyses. Good understanding of business process and analysis tools.
  • Ability to continuously improve processes, reporting, and visual management to allow management to make effective decisions
  • Teamwork skill set and ability to build impactful working relationships with both internal and external customers

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and occasionally kneel or squat
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • No Travel Required
  • Standard start time: 6:30 AM (negotiable)

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$75,000 - $150,000 / annual salary + premium benefits  

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
