Sales Executive – Transportation

Billtrust is seeking a driven “hunter” to expand our footprint in the Transportation vertical. In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle sales efforts, building relationships with executive stakeholders and closing new business for our best-in-class SaaS order-to-cash and payments solutions. You’ll show prospects how our cloud-based platform drives efficiencies, delivers cost savings, and transforms how they manage accounts receivable and payments.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and drive growth within the Transportation vertical.

  • Identify and prospect new clients through outreach, referrals, networking, and industry channels.

  • Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations that highlight the business impact of Billtrust’s solutions.

  • Build and nurture relationships with VP and C-Level decision makers and key stakeholders.

  • Partner with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Sales Development, and Sales Ops to manage leads and build strong deal flow.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Services, and Customer Success teams to ensure client needs are addressed.

  • Track market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of software sales experience (SaaS preferred), with a track record of exceeding quota.

  • Experience selling into finance, payments, AR/AP, ERP, or FinTech solutions is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of or experience selling into the transportation vertical is a plus.

  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with deal sizes of $50k–$100k+ ARR.

  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Challenger, Solution Selling, etc.) and ability to apply them in enterprise environments.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtually.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology to customer outcomes.

  • Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Base Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 + commission  Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Our Talent Acquisition team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
