Description

Company Overview

Axle Funding is an independent automotive floorplan company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with a presence in 28 markets nationwide. We partner with independent dealers to help them grow through reliable inventory financing, strong local relationships, and hands-on market support.

The Role

The Sales Executive is a field-based, territory-focused role responsible for developing new dealer relationships and growing Axle Funding’s footprint within an assigned market. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, building relationships, and owning both activity and results.

This is not an inside sales role. Sales Executives spend the majority of their time in the field visiting dealers and attending auto auctions, with limited remote work for administrative tasks. This role operates in a high-activity, high-volume market where consistency and speed drive success.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a high-volume pipeline of dealer relationships within a dense, fast-paced market
• Execute frequent in-person visits to dealerships and auctions to drive consistent deal flow
• Generate new business through high-activity prospecting including cold calls, field visits, referrals, and networking

• Prospect new dealer relationships through cold calling, field visits, referrals, auctions, and networking

• Present and sell Axle Funding’s floorplan financing products and services

• Maintain a consistent in-market presence through dealer visits and auction attendance

• Build and manage a pipeline of prospective dealers and convert opportunities into activated accounts

• Coordinate dealer onboarding and partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth activation process

• Document dealer activity and opportunities in CRM

• Develop long-term, trust-based relationships within the local automotive community

Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent required

•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

•Willingness to travel daily within assigned territory

•Must be or willing to become a state-licensed Notary

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
