About Aleph

Aleph is an AI-native platform for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). We operate in an established software category with a multi-billion market but no clear winner. Our growth has come from product velocity and customer outcomes, not marketing spend, and the results speak for themselves.

Aleph was founded by Albert Gozzi and Santiago Perez De Rosso, two technical founders with backgrounds from Stanford and MIT and experience working at top-tier companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Bain & Company. We’re backed by top VCs (Bain Capital Ventures, Khosla Ventures, YC, Picus Capital), and work with customers like Webflow, Turo, Notion, Zapier, and many others.

What we’ve built so far is the most seamless way to centralize all of a company's financial data – think expenses from Quickbooks or Netsuite, pipeline forecasts from Salesforce – and bring it into the tools finance teams are already using. But the vision goes way beyond that: Aleph is AI-native at its core, automating reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting through intelligent agents. We’re building the always-on decision layer for modern businesses.

We’re moving fast, shipping constantly, leaning into AI to make the product smarter with every release, while also applying AI to how we sell, support and scale. Our churn is low, growth is strong, and the pace keeps accelerating.

We are hiring remotely across the Americas (United States, Canada, LATAM).

🔍 What we're looking for

We’re hiring a Sales Engineer to lead the technical sale at Aleph. You’ll run demos, manage proofs of concept, and earn trust with FP&A leaders as a subject matter expert in both FP&A best practices and Aleph as a product. Excel fluency is essential, as is comfort translating between product and finance.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role on a small team, with a clear mandate: win technical evaluations, build relationships with our prospects and help us scale our GTM motion.

👷 What you'll be doing
  • Showcase Aleph’s AI-native approach in action: Lead product demos and POCs that highlight how Aleph automates spreadsheet-heavy FP&A workflows using AI. You’ll own the technical proof points (demos, POCs and deep dive Q&A) and demonstrate how Aleph replaces manual work without forcing teams to abandon their spreadsheets

  • Run high-conviction, short-cycle trials: Design and lead fast-paced trials that deliver clear value in days, not months. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to configure solutions, answer edge-case questions, and accelerate the path to yes

  • Engage senior finance leaders on AI and outcomes: Speak credibly with CFOs and VPs about where AI fits in finance. You’ll answer hard finance questions, translate technical features into business value, and position Aleph as a strategic partner, not just a tool

  • Close the loop between buyer needs and product direction: Work closely with GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to refine Aleph’s positioning and roadmap—especially around AI-first workflows and features. You’ll bring back real-world insights that help us sell smarter and build better

📝 What you have
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, consulting, or FP&A

    • Strong preference for 2+ years in management consulting or investment banking

    • Preference for 1+ years at a high-growth tech startup

  • Outstanding persuasive speaker with the ability to explain complex finance topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Deep curiosity about new technology, with a track record of using AI tools to boost your productivity and learning

  • Ownership mindset; you take initiative and thrive in ambiguous environments

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-moving team

  • Experience with SQL, BI tools, or data integrations is a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

While this is a remote-first opportunity, we're focusing on candidates within the Americas to better align with our working hours as a team.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
