The Sales Engineer will collaborate with sales and engineering teams, addressing technical challenges, building customer relationships, and supporting the sales process for cybersecurity solutions.
CYE is seeking a passionate, energetic, and self-motivated Sales Engineer to join our team. This individual will collaborate closely with both our engineering and sales teams to act as an expert advocate for our platform. The Sales Engineer will be key in helping our customers and prospects derive maximum value from our cybersecurity solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the sales team to identify, qualify, and strategize around business opportunities, addressing any technical challenges that may arise.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with partners and customers, ensuring ongoing trust and collaboration.
- Be well-versed in the company’s product portfolio and demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge during customer engagements.
- Apply a deep understanding of enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions to assist customers with technical challenges.
- Effectively engage with a range of customer stakeholders, from technical staff to senior management.
- Create and deliver clear, compelling, and engaging presentations that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Act as the main technical contact for the sales team, providing support during the sales process.
- Gather and share customer feedback, contributing to product improvements and development of new features.
- Work seamlessly with the customer success team to ensure smooth transitions during client handovers, renewals, or upgrades.
Qualifications
- Resident in the West Coast USA
- 5+ years' experience in a sales engineering role with a focus on cybersecurity solutions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity solutions, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Foundational knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and security components such as load balancers, proxies, and firewalls.
- Proven experience in consultative sales cycles, leveraging value-engineering methods.
- Ability to deliver clear and impactful technical presentations.
- Demonstrates a consulting approach, with exceptional customer-facing and interpersonal communication skills.
