This position is 100% remote anywhere in Central or East Coast US

Overview: This Sales Engineer role will primarily work with the Precisely Sales team to deliver online and in person technical product presentations and demonstrations, proof of concepts, solution discovery/scoping and pre-sales training. This position acts as the trusted technical advisor when visiting customers, prospects, and partners. The primary focus is to influence potential customers of Precisely’s technical superiority, while collaborating and supporting Precisely Account Executives in their efforts to champion and sell Precisely products. 

What you will do: 

  • Participate in all aspects of the sales process to ultimately interpret and address client requirements with an innovative and collaborative mindset. Perform technical and business value discovery with customers to identify pain points and possible solutions.
  • Present the value of Precisely’s solutions to clients in various stages of the sales cycle in the form of custom demos, workshops, proof of concepts/value, pilot projects, assisted trials, etc.
  • Use knowledge of SAP and Precisely products combined with consultative skills to assess customer needs and clearly demonstrate the value of our solutions
  • Work across a modern tech stack in environments like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and GCP to build custom Precisely solutions – leveraging Precisely APIs, SDKs, MCPs, Agents, etc.
  • Deliver end-to-end solutions that extend beyond individual products, acting as trusted advisors on cloud modernization and AI-driven initiatives. We support strategic transformation programs by applying industry best practices and real-world use cases helping customers build modern, scalable data strategies.
  • Contribute to a library of reusable demos, documents, and pre-sales assets that improve team efficiency.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP MDG, BTP, etc.)
  • Experience with data enrichment, location intelligence, data quality, data governance, data integration, SAP automation, or MDM solutions is a plus
  • Experience developing solutions using Scala, Python, JAVA, Spark frameworks in environments like Databricks is a plus
  • Proven relationship management experience, with the ability to communicate with, present to, and influence both technical and operational stakeholders which includes the C-Suite
  • Demonstrable experience with generative AI and MCP Servers
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure and SaaS architecture, including platforms like AWS
  • Travel is required: Approximately 25%-30%

AI Skills/Knowledge:

  • Understand LLM fundamentals (prompting, context window, RAG, fine-tuning tradeoffs)
  • Familiar with AI/ML deployment patterns (APIs, cloud services, on-prem, edge)
  • Can evaluate AI vendor claims critically – benchmarks, limitations, hallucination risks, etc.
  • Converts AI capabilities into customer outcomes and identifies where AI delivers value
