Lead product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and short-cycle trials for FP&A leaders. Translate Aleph’s AI and automation capabilities into finance business value, configure solutions, answer technical and finance questions, and guide stakeholders through evaluations. Engage CFOs and VPs, support sales execution, and relay customer insights to Product and Engineering. The role requires strong FP&A and financial modeling expertise, spreadsheet fluency, comfort with AI, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
🔍 What we're looking for
Aleph is looking for a Strategic Business Development Lead to run demos and proofs of concept with FP&A leaders as they evaluate Aleph. Think of this as a sales engineer role built around FP&A. Instead of teaching engineering concepts to technical buyers, you're teaching AI and automation concepts to finance leaders. You'll act as the subject matter expert on both FP&A best practices and the product, owning technical evaluations from first demo through decision.
This role sits at the intersection of finance expertise and sales execution. You'll be deep in the product and in prospects' financial workflows, and the job is ultimately about winning technical evaluations and earning trust fast.
👷 What you'll be doing
- Showcase Aleph’s AI-native approach in action: Lead product demos and POCs that highlight how Aleph automates spreadsheet-heavy FP&A workflows using AI. You’ll own the technical proof points (demos, POCs and deep dive Q&A) and demonstrate how Aleph replaces manual work without forcing teams to abandon their spreadsheets
- Run high-conviction, short-cycle trials: Design and lead fast-paced trials that deliver clear value in days, not months. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to configure solutions, answer edge-case questions, and accelerate the path to yes
- Engage senior finance leaders on AI and outcomes: Speak credibly with CFOs and VPs about where AI fits in finance. You’ll answer hard finance questions, translate technical features into business value, and position Aleph as a strategic partner, not just a tool
- Close the loop between buyer needs and product direction: Work closely with GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to refine Aleph’s positioning and roadmap -- especially around AI-first workflows and features. You’ll bring back real-world insights that help us sell smarter and build better
📝 What you bring
- 5+ years in finance, PE, FP&A, or consulting -- you hold your own with a CFO
- Fast and sharp in a spreadsheet; confident building and defending a model
- Can translate fluently between finance and product speak
- Able to thrive in ambiguity and move fast on your own
- Curious about AI and can make the case for it to a skeptic
- Remote-ready and self-directed on a distributed team
- Nice-to-have:
- Startup experience
- Hands-on with SQL/BI tools
- Previous sales engineering or similar experience
