About the Role:

As a Mid Market Sales Engineer, you have the opportunity to play an important role in increasing the effectiveness, productivity, and revenue growth in the Sales Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Mid Market Sales Engineering, Sales Engineers partner closely with Account Executives to close new business with prospects — as well as with existing customers — through discovery calls, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and onsite meetings. This position has the opportunity to work with the most impactful companies in North America that power our physical economy.

What You'll Do:
  • Partner and strategize with Account Executives for discovery calls, product demonstrations, POC support and onsite meetings 
  • Will be capable of providing customized demonstrations of the Motive product offering to prospects spanning a multitude of roles
  • Successfully match customer pains and requirements to proposed solutions
  • Become an expert on Motive’s competition, lending your expertise to Emerging Mid Market AEs working on displacement deals
  • Product expert, not only on Motive’s current offering but our roadmap as well
  • Work with AEs to respond to RFIs and RFPs
  • Sales liaison between multiple internal organizations, including; Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Product Marketing
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 3+ years working with strategic sales prospects in a pre-sales/sales engineering capacity (SaaS and Hardware experience is a plus)
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Bachelor’s of Science preferred, MS a plus
  • Experience in the Transportation & Logistics industry is a plus
  • Experience with APIs and integrations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • Consistent track record selling complex solutions with the ability to navigate long, strategic sales cycles
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve complex issues
Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The on-target earnings (base pay + commissions) for this role:
$100,000$155,000 USD
