Position Summary

Mashgin is looking to hire a Sales Engineering Director to lead the sales engineering team in providing technical expertise and support to clients and the sales organization. You will build a high-performing team of sales engineers that can effectively partner with AEs to build trust with customers, solve technical and operational challenges, and increase the velocity of our sales.


The ideal candidate is hands on and open to being in the field, has experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS startup, and is passionate about solving customer challenges.

You Will Be

  • Building a leading a high-performing sales engineering team
  • Ensuring sales engineers are well equipped to secure technical wins, working closely with the deployment team to ensure smooth customer onboarding, and ensuring pilot deployments are successful
  • Providing training and supporting to the sales team on product features, integration specs, and technical solutions
  • Staying updated on market trends and competitor products to effectively position our offerings
  • Collaborating with our product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence the product roadmap
  • Creating and delivering presentations and demos for clients and prospects to showcase product capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, with a proven track record in a leadership position
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems and their application in the sales process
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members
  • Experience in training and mentoring sales teams to enhance their technical knowledge and performance
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time to client sites all over the US

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth stage technology startup
  • Experience selling combined hardware & software solutions 
  • Experience with Point of Sale technology
