Sales Director
About the Role
Element Fleet Management is looking to add a strong sales hunter to our team. Responsible for impacting the financial success of Element Fleet Management through the ability to secure new business. The role will drive revenue and set the course for growth of the business by managing an assigned set of prospects additionally ensuring that all future customers are strategically developed. In order to be successful in this role, candidates must have a deep understanding of the business operational processes, finance, Element’s unique value proposition, and superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a new business sales role is required.
What You’ll Do
- Generate new deal leads and prospects via cold calling and other sales strategies
- Solution selling of various products and services
- Actively manage assigned database ensuring all accounts are properly scoped and classified
- Develop and cultivate strategic relationships with prospects and customers
- Develop and implement sales strategy and tactical plan for maximizing deal flow
- Partner with cross functional teams in order to facilitate the execution of deals
- Perform modeling/forecasting, financial statement and cash flow analysis in order to determine deal feasibility and structure
- Price loans and leases and services using pricing model and prepare customer proposals
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the financial services or transportation industry
- Minimum of 5 years of sales, customer management or direct fleet management experience
- Demonstrated success in developing creative solutions to meet prospect needs, goals and objectives
- Record of sales success and experience leading the successful acquisition of new business through a structured process
- Strong communication skills (oral and written), influencing and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to effectively interact at all levels of an organization with past success selling into the C-suite, especially Treasury and Finance
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of success
- Strong customer focus with superior levels of customer satisfaction / engagement
- Strong process orientation, project management, and critical thinking skills
- Must be a result focused self-starter with a high energy level with the ability to initiate and drive activities independently
- Ability to manage volume and service opportunities and effectively close transactions
- Work with a high degree of urgency and willingly accepts responsibility and accountability for growth
- Continue to build and strengthen relationships, with particular emphasis on mapping out the key decision makers and devising plans of how we will gain access to them
- Continually keep the business informed on pipeline and deal status primarily through sf.com
- Ability to relate Element’s overall corporate goals to prospecting and closing activities
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: College/University degree preferred
- 10 years of B2B sales solution selling with complex sales model (e.g. financing, SAAS, etc.)
- Experience within the vehicle management or a related fleet/financial/asset-based industry
Location: North Central United States - Remote
The hiring base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $137,500 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
