Mangopay is a wallet-based payment infrastructure built specifically for organisations with complex, multi-party fund flows. A pioneer in multi-party payments.

Our solution optimises fund flows on behalf of the organisations we work with using wallets as programmable, composable building blocks.

Mangopay’s regulated platform collects payments, secures transactions and holds funds, splits money between the various parties in the funds flow, and ultimately manages the payout to service providers, sellers, and consumers.

Platforms and fintechs using Mangopay regain control and transparency over multi-party payment flows, generate additional revenue, and improve operational efficiency. They can stay compliant while innovating and scaling.

Our team of 300+ people is spread across offices in Madrid, Paris, Warsaw, Berlin, Luxembourg and London. We're looking for talented individuals to join us in tackling the exciting challenges ahead.

At Mangopay, you’ll be part of a supportive, diverse team committed to building scalable solutions and driving change in the fintech space!

For over 13 years, Mangopay has been a trusted partner to more than 200 leading platforms, enabling them to thrive with complex payment structures and onboarding more than 330 million users. Having seen this impact in Europe, we are seeking a Sales Director committed to bringing the same value to platforms in new markets through our wallet-first infrastructure.
You will lead and drive enterprise sales efforts in support of our strategic growth objectives, with a strong focus on expanding our presence in North America. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for achieving new business revenue targets, expanding market share, and establishing Mangopay as a leading payment solutions provider among high-GMV enterprise clients. You will strategically develop and implement sales strategies, build and lead a team of experienced payments experts, and cultivate strong relationships with prospects to maximize business opportunities.
The position focuses on sourcing, engaging, and closing new business across key sectors such as product marketplaces, on-demand services, financial platforms, travel & hospitality, SaaS, and crypto.

 Responsibilities:
  • Drive revenue growth through outbound campaigns, account expansion, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Proven track record in driving net-new enterprise sales within payments or fintech.
  • Expertise in selling pay-in, pay-out, programmable wallet infrastructure, and risk management solutions to platforms.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to acquire, grow, and retain strategic accounts, aligning with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key strategic accounts, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that enhance their financial success.
  • Strong prospecting and outbound sales skills (email, LinkedIn, cold-calling).
  • Ability to manage full sales cycle independently and close high-value deals.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competition, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats. Use market insights to shape sales strategies.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Solution Engineering, Product, and Legal to ensure client needs are met.
  • Ensure that strategic accounts receive the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience in the payments industry (may consider other enterprise sales experience within financial services/fintech).
  • Understanding of the US payments market with experience in highly complex and regulated industries.
  • You have previously worked at a company that went through a transformational growth phase including market expansion experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a high-growth organization across multiple geographies.
  • Superior relationship-building and exceptional consultative sales skills with a passion and hunger to win.
  • Results-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and a “hands-on” person with a proven ability to meet objectives and targets.
  • Experience using Salesforce and adherence to CRM discipline.
  • Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with complex platform business models (multi-party flows, compliance, settlement)
  • Prior experience with European or global fintechs entering the U.S. market
  • Exposure to early-stage market expansion or team-building environments
Preferred qualifications:
  • Understanding of multi-sided business models, such as marketplaces or platforms.
  • Experience selling treasury or other stored value products.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA preferred
Additional information:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
