Position Overview: 

The Sales Director, North America, will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers across various markets, including Autonomous Driving, Factory Automation, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Security, and Defense. The ideal candidate is a driven, self-motivated team player with proven experience in sales and business development. This role involves identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing large-scale, complex deals to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets. The successful candidate will also develop a robust pipeline of new sales leads, present cutting-edge technology solutions to prospective clients, and foster revenue-generating business relationships. 

This is a remote role based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Increase Market Adoption: Drive market adoption of Voyant's FMCW architecture with strategic customers.

  • Sales Growth: Demonstrate sensor performance to existing and potential customers to educate them on the product's technical capabilities and establish volume sales agreements.

  • Account Management: Manage meeting notes, presentations, and post-sales support for all assigned accounts.

  • Market Analysis: Identify, monitor, and analyze market conditions and competitors to understand industry requirements and growth trends in the 3D sensing market. Develop effective market penetration strategies.

  • Technical Support: Provide customers with first-line technical assistance, troubleshooting, and engineering support.

  • Lead Marketing Efforts: Coordinate marketing activities such as trade shows, conferences, communications, and the creation of product documentation.


Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of LIDAR technology or 2D/3D optical measurement hardware (experience with software is a plus).

  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following industries: Security, Smart City, Factory Automation, or Defense.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Business Development, or a related Sales role.

  • Proven ability to thrive in startup environments, particularly in competitive, dynamic, and fast-growing technology sectors.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, escalate issues when necessary, and effectively resolve customer challenges.

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally to support customers onsite.

  • Engineering degree preferred, or a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to high-tech environments.
