About OraClaim
OraClaim is an early-stage AI startup building a transformational platform that offers a combination of tools and data analytics that optimizes how law firms and insurers defend and resolve liability claims. Fundamentally, OraClaim facilitates faster, fairer settlements and increases profitability.
The insurance defense industry is being overwhelmed — nuclear verdicts are climbing, plaintiff firms are deploying AI, and defense attorneys are still doing things the way they've always done them. OraClaim is changing that. We give defense firms and carriers the AI advantage they need to fight back, work smarter, and win.
The Role
We're looking for a hungry, coachable Sales Development Representative to join OraClaim at the ground floor. You'll be the tip of the spear — finding the right people, sparking the right conversations, and building the pipeline that fuels our growth.
This is not a role for someone looking to coast. You'll be reaching out to managing partners, heads of claims, and senior litigation leaders at firms and carriers across the country. You'll need to understand their world, earn their attention, and get them excited about what OraClaim can do for their practice.
If you're early in your sales career and want to develop fast — this is the job. You'll work directly with the founders, get exposure to the full sales process, and grow into a closing role as we scale.
What You'll Do
Pipeline Generation
- Prospect and identify decision-makers at insurance defense law firms, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators
- Build targeted outreach sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone that get responses — not ignored
- Research accounts before outreach so every touchpoint is relevant and personalized, not generic
- Hit and exceed weekly activity and pipeline creation targets
Outbound Execution
- Own outbound prospecting from list building through booked meeting — with speed and consistency
- Craft compelling cold emails and LinkedIn messages that speak the language of defense attorneys and claims professionals
- Cold call prospects directly — cold calling is one of our most successful channels and you need to be comfortable making a significant volume of calls
- Run high-volume, high-quality outreach without sacrificing personalization — quality and quantity both matter here
- Follow up relentlessly and professionally — most deals start with the 5th or 6th touch
Discovery & Qualification
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand a prospect's pain, volume, and readiness — then pass qualified opportunities to the sales team
- Ask smart questions about how they're managing cases today and what's not working
- Learn the OraClaim platform well enough to speak credibly about how it maps to their specific challenges
- Keep CRM updated and accurate so pipeline data reflects reality
Market Intelligence
- Gather intel from the market — what are firms worried about, what tools are they using, what's keeping their leaders up at night
- Feed insights back to the founders and marketing team to sharpen messaging and targeting
- Track competitive conversations and flag emerging objections or market shifts
Events & Field Presence
- Attend industry conferences, legal defense summits, and insurance events around the country to represent OraClaim and generate pipeline
- Build relationships face-to-face with prospects and partners — events are a key part of how we open doors
- Be comfortable with significant travel — this role requires you to be on the road regularly throughout the year
What You Bring
Required
- 0–3 years of outbound sales or SDR experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or professional services
- Track record of consistently hitting outreach and meeting-booked targets
- Strong written communication — you can write a cold email that doesn't sound like a cold email
- High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Genuine curiosity — you want to understand the customer's world, not just pitch at them
Ideal Background
- Experience selling into law firms, insurance companies, or other professional services environments
- Familiarity with legal tech, legalops, or insurtech — or a strong desire to get up to speed fast
- Experience using sales tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or Outreach
- Background at an early-stage startup where you had to figure things out without a playbook
Core Competencies
- Relentless: You don't quit after one unanswered email. You find a way in.
- Curious: You ask good questions and actually listen to the answers.
- Coachable: You take feedback, adapt fast, and get better every week.
- Credible: You can hold a serious conversation with a senior attorney or claims executive.
- Organized: You track your pipeline, follow up on time, and nothing falls through the cracks.
Why Join OraClaim

- Work directly with the founders — your ideas and efforts will shape the company's direction
- Clear path to a full-cycle closing role as we grow
- Competitive salary with meaningful equity — you'll share in what we build
- Flexible remote work environment and a team that respects your time and autonomy
Logistics
- Competitive base salary + commission
- Fully remote — work from anywhere
