Description

(Must reside in the Bay Area, CA, Austin, TX, or Boston, MA)

About Firebolt

Firebolt is the lightning-fast cloud data warehouse built for engineering teams that need sub-second analytics on terabytes of data without breaking the budget. VC-backed, remote-first, and growing 3× YoY, we’re redefining how companies build modern data stacks.

How We Work – Remote-First

  • Home-base with a 4-hour live overlap (09:00-13:00 PT) for stand-ups, call blocks and AE alignment.
  • Asynchronous by default: Slack threads, Gong playlists, Confluence playbooks and Loom recaps keep us in sync.
  • You will complete a 3-week self-paced Confluence boot-camp, shadow calls in Gong, and hit ramp quotas of 2 / 4 / 6 meetings in months 1-3.

The Role

As an SDR you’ll partner with our Account Executives to open doors into data-engineering and analytics teams at digital-native scale-ups. You’ll combine AI-assisted research with disciplined outreach to create pipeline for a sales org that blew past 220 % of target last year.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Build and iterate multi-channel sequences (Outreach, LinkedIn, phone, video) to engage ICP personas.
  • Book 6+ qualified meetings / month and generate $1.8M+ pipeline / quarter once fully ramped.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on event follow-up and ABM campaigns; attend local Bay Area events as the Firebolt face.
  • Record crisp discovery notes, Loom recaps and next steps in Salesforce so AEs can pick up seamlessly.
  • Share learnings in Confluence and coach peers once you master a tactic.

We Think You’ll Nail It If You

  • Have 1-3 years of SDR / BDR experience in B2B SaaS with qualified results (meetings & pipeline).
  • Thrive in a remote setting—can show written daily plans, self-set goals, and no-nudge execution.
  • Learn fast on your own—certs, side projects, or ramp stories prove it.
  • Are fluent in Gong, Salesforce, Outreach and Slack (or equivalents).
  • Communicate honestly and professionally on a Zoom call or a conference hall booth.
  • Live in the Bay Area and can maintain the 09:00-13:00 PT overlap.

Bonus Points

  • Experience selling data warehousing, analytics, or developer tooling.
  • SQL basics or previous work with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • Proof of grit—career pivot, start-up hustle, athletic or military background.

Compensation & Benefits

  • OTE up to $110K (70/30 split) + ISOs
  • 100 % remote equipment stipend & co-working allowance
  • 4 weeks PTO & local holidays
  • Health, dental, vision, and 401k plan
  • Quarterly off-sites (SF, NYC, Tel Aviv)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
