The SDR will use their extraordinary sales experience (ideally in SaaS) demonstrate the added value of Pinwheel to any financial institution looking to improve account activation rates and lifetime value of their customers. You've done organizational mapping, prospecting individuals, driving engagement, setting opportunities for AEs, taking qualification calls, and nurturing early opportunities. The ideal candidate is customer centric, resilient, challenges the status quo, and has an interest in advancing their career in tech sales.

What will you be doing?
  • Act as a key member of the Pinwheel Sales Team, supporting Account Executives hunting new business
  • Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to establish and optimize the overall Demand Generation systems and process
  • Outbound outreach to financial institutions of all sizes, with a focus on the top 100 largest banks
  • Help prospects understand Pinwheel’s value story and answering questions about how our products work and what benefits they deliver to Pinwheel customers
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing on managing campaigns and establishing the correct KPIs
  • Own a quota for meetings booked and revenue converted
What experience, skills, and qualifications should you have?
  • 1-2 years of experience in pipeline development and/or sales (preferably at a SaaS company with a large SDR team)
  • Ability to lead high-level conversations with business stakeholders via email, Linkedin, text and phone
  • Mastery in communicating Pinwheel’s value proposition in order to drive interest
  • Ability to assess buying interest and experience qualifying prospects
  • Ability to thrive in a high-customer volume, time-sensitive environment
  • Having a relentless mindset and unwillingness to quit
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce or other CRM
  • Proficiency in using Salesloft or other outbounding tool
  • Excitement to work in a high-growth environment and to help build processes and tools as needed
  • Desire to get (more) technical, deepen your understanding of the financial ecosystem, and the ability to learn the ins and outs of Pinwheel’s API

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
