Job Description:

The Sales Development Representative is a meaningful and impactful role within the sales organization, focused on delivering a best-in-class experience to prospective customers. As the Sales Development Representative (SDR), you are often the first person a prospect encounters when reaching out to Amplify, making your role critical in shaping their first impression.

We aim to show every prospect that Amplify is a reliable, knowledgeable partner by being responsive, consultative, and genuinely helpful. This role offers the opportunity to be a strategic contributor and collaborate with partners across the organization to help drive revenue for the Sales Team.

The role reports to the Manager, Sales Development and works closely with key partners across the organization, including sales, product, and marketing.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound leads in a specified region within target response times through high-velocity calling and email strategies

  • Qualify leads using rigorous criteria to determine program and service fit, document conversation details, and schedule appointments for Account Executives to advance the sale

  • Consult with prospects to identify their needs and align them with solutions and services.

  • Provide valuable resources to help prospects find high-quality instructional materials.

  • Develop expertise in K-12 purchasing cycles as they relate to school districts, Title I, and federal funding guidelines

  • Identify opportunities to meet the needs of all key stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and students

  • Prioritize leads and accurately maintain activity in relevant CRM systems

  • Participate in weekly & bi-weekly meetings and share relevant market feedback

  • Continuously invest in your product and territory knowledge to show up as a credible, informed resource for internal and external customers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience

  • 1-3 years of inside sales or sales development experience, preferably within the education market

  • Highly responsive to inbound inquiries, goal-oriented, persistent, diligent, and reliable, with strong probing skills

  • Previous experience in the education market

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel to onsite meetings 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to advance knowledge through self-study, training, and experience

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and administrative best practices

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions

  • Strong creative-thinking and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated success managing a high volume of leads with a consistent and disciplined outbound cadence
