Position Summary: 

Ready to make a dynamic career shift? RoadRunner, the leader in waste + recycling innovation, is hiring a full-time Sales Development Representative (SDR). If you're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team! As an SDR, you’ll drive our sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, engaging potential customers, and scheduling meetings for our Account Executives. With a 2 month comprehensive training program and ongoing coaching, you'll gain the skills to succeed while helping redefine waste management. Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying and identifying leads at the initial stages of the funnel utilizing cold calling techniques
  • Demonstrating the value of our offering through phone calls, email and social tools
  • Diligently updating Salesforce, our CRM, to stay current on leads and follow-ups
  • Being an active participant in our sales coaching process

  • $24.04 / hour ($50k per year working 40 hours per week) + $6k annual target commission (uncapped)
  • Promotional plan based on performance with commission and treasure bonus increase
  • One time performance bonus of $4,000 once you have graduated from the 2 month training program

About You:

  • You have an Associate's degree with 2+ years direct sales experience OR a Bachelor's degree with 1+ years sales experience
  • You’re a high performer who is energized and motivated by competition, is goal driven and enjoys the financial rewards selling provides
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure 
  • You possess the ability to embrace feedback and hold yourself accountable
  • You are a constant learner and have a passion for sales
  • You are a hard worker with a strong sense of urgency 
  • You have previous cold calling experience 
  • You have stellar communication skills

Interview Process for an SDR:

  • Step 1: Application is received by the Talent Acquisition team
  • Step 2: Prescreen phone call with Recruiter is scheduled
  • Step 3: Final round, 1-hour Zoom interview with our Sales Hiring Specialist
  • Step 4: Decision is made

Training:

1st week:

  • Participate in state of the art training that will enable you to qualify, source, and engage in the art of cold calling
  • Learn to prospect and develop a pipeline of potential leads to drive your sales funnel
  • Work directly with a full-time sales trainer who will help ensure that you are set-up for success
  • Start making outbound calls to prospective new business accounts and set meetings to discuss our offerings

5th week:

  • Work with your Sales Trainer to develop strategy and sales cadences for your accounts
  • Have weekly coaching sessions to identify areas of opportunity and set expectations
  • Meet with your AE and other SDRs to grow and evolve as a team
  • On-going training and development to continue to level up and learn more about our services and the industry

9th week:

  • Have a developed pipeline that you are actively working to generate consistent revenue
  • Be capable of overcoming most objections and helping our prospects understand the value we can add to their businesses
  • Become an integral part of your market’s success
  • Be well on your way to initial promotions and bonuses

The pay range for this role is:

24.04 - 24.04 USD per hour (Remote - United States)

50,000 - 50,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
