Where Medicine Meets Intelligence

Doctronic is the first AI legally authorized to practice medicine. We're processing millions of consultations monthly with 99%+ treatment plan accuracy validated by board-certified clinicians.

About the Role

We're looking for a Sales Development Representative to generate qualified pipeline for our payer vertical. You'll be on the front lines of bringing Doctronic's AI-powered diagnostics to health plans, third-party administrators (TPAs), and self-insured employers—booking meetings that turn into partnerships that improve member outcomes and reduce costs.

This is an outbound-heavy role where your persistence and strategic prospecting will directly impact our growth. You'll learn the complex world of payer sales, understanding pain points around utilization management, member engagement, and cost containment while building relationships with medical directors and benefits leaders.

What You'll Do
  • Research target accounts to identify key decision-makers including medical directors, benefits leaders, and innovation teams

  • Craft personalized, compelling outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn that resonates with payer priorities

  • Book qualified meetings for our Account Executive and SVP Business Development, Payers

  • Track activity and pipeline metrics religiously, using data to optimize your approach

  • Develop deep knowledge of payer pain points: utilization management challenges, member engagement gaps, and cost containment pressures

  • Build a robust understanding of how AI diagnostics can drive value for health plans and employers

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to refine messaging and targeting strategies for different payer segments

  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline forecasting in our CRM

Who You Are
  • 1-3 years of SDR or similar outbound sales experience

  • High volume tolerance—you thrive in an outbound-heavy role with ambitious activity targets

  • Coachable and eager to learn the nuances of payer and benefits sales

  • Metrics-driven with a track record of hitting and exceeding goals

  • Persistent and resilient—you don't take "no" personally and know when to follow up

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator who can articulate ROI and value propositions

  • CRM proficiency (we use HubSpot)

  • Curious about healthcare economics and motivated by the mission to improve patient outcomes while reducing costs

Nice to Have
  • Healthcare or health tech sales experience

  • Understanding of payer/TPA buying cycles and procurement processes

  • Experience with benefits or insurance sales

  • Familiarity with health plan organizational structures and decision-making dynamics

  • Knowledge of value-based care, population health management, or prior authorization workflows

  • Understanding of self-insured employer benefits strategies

Compensation & Benefits

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
