In this role, you'll have an assigned geographic territory with key performance targets that will be accomplished by energetically pursuing new sales opportunities, working with architects, casework dealers, general contractors, real estate developers, project managers, lab planners and corresponding Laboratory Equipment Representatives to drive sales. You will also be responsible for developing and continually updating effective written strategic business plans in your region to ensure that we are growing our market share at the defined growth rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the total laboratory equipment portfolio in your area by using outstanding selling skills to exceed pre-established territory forecasts.
- Partner with field sales to look for and close construction opportunities, including new construction, renovations, and expansions.
- Continually promote Thermo Scientific’s breadth of product offerings on all sales calls to achieve maximum client solution opportunities and greater sales potentials for the company.
- Develop detailed business plans to achieve required sales growth quarterly
- Establish business relationships with various customers in order to grow our new construction opportunity pipeline.
- Consistently update the company CRM sales funnel reports of projected bookings to assist in monthly company sales forecasting and product build plans.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in the Life Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years of highly successful laboratory sales experience or experience in the laboratory construction market.
- Must have a confirmed understanding of the construction industry.
- Must have an outstanding understanding of our markets and be knowledgeable of diverse laboratory product applications.
- Outstanding analytical capability and problem-solving skills
- Substantiated capability to effectively communicate and close business.
- Evidence of professional presentation skills.
- 50% travel

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $75,700.00–$113,500.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
