About Team / Role

WEX is in search of a self-directed and highly analytical Sales Compensation Analyst to support sales compensation programs across multiple lines of business globally. This role offers an exciting opportunity to partner with HR, sales leadership and finance teams to ensure compensation programs are aligned with strategic goals and operational efficiency.

The Compensation Analyst will manage and optimize sales commission processes, analyze incentive program performance and provide synthesized data that informs changes to drive the business. To succeed in this role, a candidate must be highly motivated, inquisitive, and committed to contributing to the company’s growth.

How you'll make an impact

  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement in compensation plan effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain sales compensation reports, and metrics to provide visibility into plan performance and identify potential issues.

  • Administer sales compensation plans, including the plan acknowledgement process, tracking performance, and ensuring compliance with established policies.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership, finance, and HR to design and implement sales compensation plans that motivate sales teams and drive revenue growth.

  • Analyze market data and benchmarks to ensure compensation plans are competitive and effective.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and patterns in sales performance and to assess the effectiveness of the sales incentive plans.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for plan adjustments to drive desired sales behaviors.

  • Model and forecast the financial impact of proposed plan changes.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to sales compensation.

  • Assist with sales incentives/contests and implementation/training on plan changes.

  • Develop clear and concise presentations to communicate complex data and analysis to various stakeholders, including sales leadership and executive teams.

  • Document sales compensation processes and procedures, ensuring clarity and consistency.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in sales compensation, finance or related roles.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

  • Experience with sales compensation software a plus (e.g., Forma.ai).

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
