About the Role

As a Sales Compensation Analyst, you will be integral to our Sales Compensation team, contributing to the design, execution, and optimization of compensation programs that drive our business objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Accounting, Operations and other key stakeholders to analyze compensation data, manage monthly commissions processing and ensure the effective implementation of our compensation plans.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with compensation management systems. Proficiency in CaptivateIQ, including advanced functionalities, is a significant plus
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data and insights clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive problem solver with a track record of addressing and resolving compensation-related challenges.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Plan Development: Assist in the design and administration of complex sales compensation plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth analysis of sales performance and commission trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Assist in strategic planning and decision-making by providing insights that drive compensation plan improvements.
  • Compensation Modeling: Support modeling compensation scenarios, forecasting expenses, and evaluating plan effectiveness. Utilize advanced functionalities of CaptivateIQ for compensation modeling and forecasting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support engagement with HR, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure seamless integration of compensation plans with broader business strategies.
  • Data Accuracy & Compliance: Conduct regular audits of compensation data to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • CaptivateIQ Utilization: Leverage CaptivateIQ for compensation calculations, reporting, and analytics to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy. Demonstrate advanced skills in CaptivateIQ, including experience with custom reporting and compensation modeling.
  • Presentation & Communication: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on compensation trends, plan performance, and other key metrics for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Must Have Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) are a plus.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related role, ideally within the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Industry Insight: Deep understanding of sales compensation plans, metrics, and best practices, particularly within the SaaS industry. Familiarity with current compensation trends and benchmarks.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated experience with CaptivateIQ or similar compensation management platforms, including experience with custom reporting and compensation modeling.

Base salary range:

$93,500$110,000 USD
