Benevity is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Commissions Specialist to manage the administration, analysis and reporting of our sales incentive and commissions programs. In this high-impact role, you’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance,RevOps and People Teams to ensure the integrity of sales performance data, compliance with incentive compensation plans, and continuous improvement of commissions-related data and processes.

You’ll help ensure accurate calculation, processing, reporting and auditing of sales commission payments in accordance with company variable compensation plans. What you’ll do:

  • Calculate, audit and process monthly, quarterly, and annual sales commissions based on various incentive plans.
  • Review and validate sales performance data from CRM and Billing  systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with compensation policies.
  • Analyze sales performance trends, quota attainment, and commission payouts to identify opportunities for plan improvements.
  • Monitor and reconcile commission advances, draws, spiffs and clawbacks in accordance with plan guidelines and company policy
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights on compensation costs and sales effectiveness.
  • Investigate and resolve commission disputes and discrepancies with sales team members.
  • Maintain commission calculation models and commission management tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Xactly etc)
  • Support internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and controls.
  • Monitor and reconcile commission adjustments including spiffs, clawbacks and draws in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in designing and modeling new commission structures aligned with business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of commission plans, calculation methodologies and workflows.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to forecast commission payouts under different sales performance scenarios.
  • Manage commission data integrity by performing regular audits and system reconciliations.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on commission plan details, tools and reporting access.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for commission-related inquiries from sales team members.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in commission processing.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation preferably within the SaaS or tech industry.
  • Experience in an enterprise SaaS tech RevOps role preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and significant experience with commission tools (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Xactly).
  • Deep experience with Salesforce.com is a must and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Intacct, etc) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with the utmost integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced tech or SaaS environment.
  • A solid understanding of variable compensation structures and sales incentive best practices.
  • Prior experience in supporting the rollout or redesign of commission plans.
  • A strong passion for driving operational excellence and a customer-centric approach
