Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Application Engineer to support, win, and grow our sales with global leading connectivity solution provider. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical interface between Intel, customer, and internal cross-functional teams, providing pre-sales and post-sales technical expertise, solution development, and customer support throughout the sales cycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to understand customer requirements, develop tailored technical solutions, and drive business growth. This role requires a strong combination of in-depth technical knowledge of our products and solutions, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills. If you have a strong passion for mobile and network infrastructure solutions and a successful history of engaging with customers on a technical level, this is an excellent opportunity for you to make a substantial contribution.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary technical support resource for Intel's sales account.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to identify customer needs and develop customized technical solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer proposals.
• Evaluate customer specifications and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing to ensure technical feasibility and successful project execution.
• Support RFQs, quotations, technical documentation, and product selection activities.
• Actively work towards achieving the Design Wins
• Manage technical discussions with customer engineering teams and provide timely responses to technical inquiries.
• Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and project planning sessions.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies relevant to customer's business.
• Support new product introductions and facilitate successful product qualifications.
• Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Travel as required to customer locations and internal meetings.

SPECIAL NOTE - The designated work location for this position is in the province of (Ontario, British Columbia, or both). The candidate hired must be physically located in and work remotely from the designated work location.

If you are hired and reside in a province other than the designated work location, you will be required to relocate to (Ontario, British Columbia, or both) before your start date.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. MS or PhD a plus.
• 5-10 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, Field Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales.
• Experience supporting customers in the telecommunications or networking industry.
• Deep technical understanding of telecom segments RAN, cloud RAN, fixed and optical networks, IP routing and cloud and implementation using CPUs, ASICs, GPU, custom silicon, ASSPs and AI solutions for access, edge, core network and network infrastructure solutions.
• Deep understanding on Intel data center, client and edge products.
• Track record of driving design wins or qualifications at OEMs.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate customer requirements into effective solutions.
• Talented for effectively managing multiple initiatives and priorities. Strong time-management and organizational skills for coordinating complex projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both sales and engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Proactive person and capability complete tasks with minimal guidance
• Experience working in cross-functional and global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience working with or supporting major telecom OEMs.
• Knowledge of AI, 3GPP RAN (5G), wireless and wireline infrastructures, networking equipment, or data center technologies.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in Canada

CAD 251,630.00-355,240.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. However, you must live and work from the country specified in the job posting, in which Intel has a legal presence.
