Abacus Insights is a mission-driven technology company focused on transforming the healthcare data industry, ultimately creating a more personalized patient experience, improving health outcomes, and lowering the overall cost of healthcare. Abacus Insights provides a flexible, efficient, and secure platform that organizes and exchanges healthcare data from various sources and formats, allowing our customers to uncover differentiated insights. In addition, our employees know that they play an active role in keeping our customers' data safe and are responsible for ensuring that our comprehensive policies and practices are met.

With our deep expertise in cloud-enabled technologies and knowledge of the healthcare industry, we have built an innovative data integration and management platform that allows healthcare payers access to data that has been historically siloed and inaccessible. Through our platform, these healthcare organizations can ingest and manage all the data they need to transform their business by supporting their analytical, operational, and financial needs.

Since our founding in 2017, Abacus has built a highly successful SaaS business, raising more than $81 Million from leading VC firms with deep expertise in the healthcare and technology industries. We are solving problems of massive scale and complexity in a sector that is not only ready for disruption. We're growing quickly and would love for you to be a part of it!

About the Role:

At Abacus Insights, we’re building something exciting—and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us. We’re hiring a Sales & Business Development Analyst to join our go-to-market team and help us run fast, smooth, and smart. This role is perfect for someone who’s incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and curious about stepping into the world of healthcare tech sales. Maybe you’ve been an executive assistant, project manager, or operator before—but you’re hungry for more ownership, more exposure to strategy, and a real path into sales and partnerships.

In this role, you’ll be the connective tissue behind our sales motion—supporting client conversations, coordinating deliverables, and making sure our proposals and pipelines are buttoned up. You’ll work closely with sales, marketing, and leadership to help us win new clients and deepen relationships with existing ones.

You Will:

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with prospects, partners, and customers
  • Track and maintain our co-sell and partner pipelines
  • Help draft client-facing proposals and decks (PowerPoint)
  • Support contract execution and client onboarding processes
  • Own the logistics and follow-through for upsell and renewal conversations and RFPs
  • Maintain pricing models and assist in quote creation (Excel)
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development leadership on special projects
  • Keep everything running smoothly—anticipating gaps and jumping in proactively

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., EA, PM, or customer-facing roles)
  • A strong communicator—clear, polished, and empathetic
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple moving pieces at once
  • Comfortable working in Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
  • A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and loves bringing structure to chaos
  • A team player who’s excited to learn the ins and outs of B2B sales for healthcare
  • Someone who cares about the small details but always keeps the big picture in mind

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting a Sales, Partnerships, or Business Development team
  • Familiarity with CRMs
  • Prior exposure to B2B SaaS or enterprise software sales
  • An interest in healthcare tech, startups, and how companies grow
  • A sense of humor and a love for figuring things out

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
