Provide analytical and sales support to the Food Away From Home Sales Team. Develop reporting systems and create new reports in addition to maintaining existing reports which monitor key metrics and provide actionable insights to the team. Analyze data to provide insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Managing item level forecast on all spices and seasonings for Monarch, Trade East, Durkee and Dash.
- Evaluate various sales and customer inputs to reduce order cuts and overstocks.
- Attend weekly customer facing service level calls and be prepared to provide details regarding current inventory levels, current forecasting accuracy, and future in stock conditions.
- Collaborate with sales, customers, and inventory planner to align on appropriate inventory levels and production scheduling.
- Responsible for responding to all customer requests involving the service levels (including out of stocks, discontinuations, shortages, allocations, and promotional production).
- Using AFS, IRI, AC Nielsen, and shipment data to conduct analysis, report observations, and forecast for the Sales team. Provide insightful commentary (consumption, volumes, bridges, etc.)
- Assist in customer and internal meeting preparation tools.
- AFS inputs – Coordinate best practices and tracking reports to monitor plan accuracy and reporting consistency, i.e. New Item Status, Forecast Tracking
- Recordkeeping and reconciliation (posting contracts to AFS, monitoring net bill contract accuracy and supporting deduction team with timely reconciliation)
- Trade Revenue and Spend Management (coordinating Sales Planning and Sales Managers via AFS reporting capabilities to monitor and consolidate team progress and results)
- Monitor and evaluate competitive activity on core brands and access projected impact.
Experience, Skills, Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Previous experience within the CPG industry preferred
- Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong competency in syndicated data, i.e. AC Nielsen and Information Resource, Inc
- Analytical skills necessary to draw conclusions and make recommendations, based on data
- Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload as customer and internal demands shift; goal and deadline oriented
- Persistence and attention to detail important
