OVERVIEW:

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking two Regional Vice Presidents of Operations (RVPs) to help lead the next chapter of growth for our field organization:

  • 1 Regional Vice President of Operations – Mid-Atlantic Region

  • 1 Regional Vice President of Operations – Northeast Region

Candidates must reside within their respective market and demonstrate a deep understanding of the local business landscape, consumer trends, and talent market dynamics.

As one of the most influential field leaders at DICK'S Sporting Goods, the Regional Vice President will lead a large multi-unit organization spanning more than 100 stores and oversee a $1B+ business, driving sales performance, operational excellence, teammate engagement, and athlete-centric experiences. This executive will play a critical role in shaping the future of DICK'S Sporting Goods while inspiring and developing the next generation of field leadership talent.

As a people-first leader and coach, you will create a culture rooted in accountability, belonging, coaching, and growth. You will build and develop diverse, high-performing teams, establish strong succession pipelines, and empower leaders to solve problems, remove barriers, and execute the business with excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a high-performing, quality-driven region that consistently delivers strong business and people results.

  • Help shape and execute national business strategies, balancing regional needs with enterprise priorities.

  • Partner closely with fellow RVPs and cross-functional leaders to drive consistency, alignment, and execution across the organization.

  • Operate as a true enterprise leader, making decisions based on what is best for the company as a whole.

  • Effectively engage and communicate in Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board-level settings, presenting insights, recommendations, and business updates with confidence.

Lead a High-Performing Region

  • Drive sales, profitability, operational excellence, and strategic execution across a large multi-unit retail organization.

  • Translate enterprise priorities into actionable regional strategies that deliver measurable business results.

  • Maintain ownership of a $1B+ business while balancing short-term execution with long-term growth.

Inspire and Develop Teams

  • Foster an inclusive, people-first culture where engagement, accountability, coaching, and recognition are core to how the business operates.

  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while building diverse, high-performing teams and robust succession plans.

  • Create an environment that encourages continuous learning, innovation, and growth.

Understand and Serve the Market

  • Leverage deep local market knowledge to inform merchandising, talent, and operational decisions.

Targeted Pay Range: $178,300.00 - $370,400.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
