The Ruby Software Engineer will develop and maintain web and mobile applications, collaborate on product architecture, and mentor other engineers.

We use elegant technology (Ruby, React, and ReactNative) to build beautiful web and mobile apps that help people understand and manage their water use in real-time. What you get to do every day?
- Write and review Ruby and Javascript code
- Design, develop and maintain sophisticated APIs, web applications, and native mobile apps
- Operate a cloud-based, multi-tenant customer engagement platform
- Collaborate with clients, users, management, and other engineers on product roadmap, architecture development plans, and program launches
- Help to hire, train and mentor other software engineers

What skills do you need?
- Experience developing web or mobile applications
- Experience with Ruby and Javascript (ES)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience in full-stack development – including frontend, backend, database, deployment, and operations – is preferred
- Experience with Amazon AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc) is preferred
- Proficiency in dynamic languages and object oriented design
- Experience in full-stack development, including frontend, backend, database, deployment, and operations
- Experience writing unit and functional tests to achieve high confidence in changes
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with clients and other engineering teams
- Problem-solving and analytical skills are critical
