As the Robotaxi Operations Manager, you'll lead operations for an autonomous fleet, optimize performance, and ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining safety standards.
Zoox is developing the first ground-up, fully autonomous robotaxi fleet and the supporting ecosystem required to bring this revolutionary technology to market. At the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and design, Zoox aims to provide the next generation of mobility-as-a-service in urban environments. As a Robotaxi Operations Manager, you will be pivotal in bringing our autonomous vehicle service to life in our new markets. This position focuses on managing the day-to-day operations of our robotaxi fleet, ensuring exceptional service delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of operations personnel responsible for robotaxi service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize fleet performance and customer experience.
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle deployment, maintenance scheduling, and service coverage.
- Drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of technology updates and service enhancements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for service reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 10+ years leading the business side of relevant large-scale operations
- 5+ years of managing large teams of FTEs and contingent labor
- Management of continuous safety standards and improvement initiatives
- Experience in change management processes & managing large amounts of data
Bonus Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, etc.)
- 5+ years working in an NPI environment and cross-functionally with PMO or engineering organizations
- Working with cross-functional teams on go-to-market initiatives
- Experience in the autonomous vehicle, transportation dispatch, and emergency response industries
- PMP certification, or equivalent.
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $195,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling and positioning within a level are determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting represents the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
