As a Vice President in Loss Mitigation and Default Servicing Analytics within JPMorgan Chase's Risk Management team, you will lead a team of skilled analysts responsible for driving strategic initiatives in mortgage servicing. Your role will be crucial in shaping analytics strategies, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment, and delivering insights that influence senior stakeholders and support our commitment to responsible growth.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of advanced analytics initiatives related to loss mitigation and default servicing, focusing on areas such as loan modification, foreclosure, bankruptcy.
  • Utilize SAS and SQL programming to synthesize large datasets, generating actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, data scientists, and operations, to ensure data quality and effective strategy execution.
  • Mentor and develop team members through regular one-on-one coaching, professional development, and performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to provide updates on servicing strategy, recognize achievements, and promote team progress towards goals, while actively promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact, and deliver influential presentations to management.
  • Build and execute a strategic book of work, managing risks, deadlines, and dependencies, while ensuring accountability and timely escalation of issues.
  • Engage with stakeholders through regular one-on-one meetings, bringing agenda topics and following up on action items to maintain strong relationships.
  • Continuously improve processes, prioritize high-value work, and ensure robust controls are in place for key processes.
  • Actively seek and respond to feedback, promoting an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, with expertise in SAS and/or SQL programming (ORACLE, Teradata).
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in mortgage servicing, risk analytics, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytical tools and techniques, such as Tableau or Alteryx.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects and mentor junior team members.
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams is a plus.
