You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities.
As an Analyst within the Leveraged North America Corporates Credit Risk team, a part of the Technology, Media, and Communications group, you will be responsible for engaging with corporate clients from the Technology, Media, and Communications sectors. Your role will involve enhancing your analytical skills to evaluate, assess, and document client creditworthiness, as well as structuring and negotiating new leveraged transactions.

Your role will involve enhancing your analytical skills to evaluate, assess, and document client creditworthiness, as well as structuring and negotiating new leveraged transactions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop a well-informed and forward-looking view of client businesses.
- Stay current on all aspects of the assigned credit portfolio, including industry trends, portfolio performance, compliance with covenants, and potential risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present credit approval memos for new debt facilities and reviews on existing client facilities by conducting business analysis and performing financial analysis, including running financial models and peer comparisons.
- Assess client creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit ratings.
- Evaluate the ability of cash flows to repay debt and describe concisely the structure and terms of products while analyzing related risk metrics.
- Participate in client on-site or telephonic diligence meetings.
- Process transactions and annual reviews in JPM's credit system by coordinating with middle office and business partners in a timely manner.
- Monitor, investigate, and escalate risk metrics associated with client activity.
- Prepare and present periodic portfolio reviews to senior credit executives and business partners.
- Lead ad hoc team projects.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in financial services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Coursework in corporate finance and accounting.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks.
- Interest in client interaction with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand, describe, and debate complex concepts.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software.

- Credit risk management experience.
- Highly motivated with a natural passion to learn and an inquisitive personality.
