The Risk Analytics Consultant develops and maintains risk management reporting, visualizations, and dashboards for auto lending. Responsibilities include project support, documentation, data quality monitoring, and collaboration with teams to meet analytic needs.
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant with great attention to detail and a solid foundation of technical/programming skills, including experience programming in SAS, developing visualizations, as well as significant analytical experience. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and SAS and/or SQL skills are paramount to success in this position.
This Risk Analytics Consultant will be part of the Auto Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Reporting and MIS team within Wells Fargo Auto CRO with primary responsibility for developing, producing and maintaining a robust and comprehensive suite of Auto Credit Risk management reporting to provide detailed and summarized views of key production, originations, portfolio and collections functions of auto portfolios.
This individual will be creating data visualizations, developing dashboards that involve multiple views that respond to navigation/filter/etc. Functionality. This person should be able to develop reporting and dashboards that can be published and reused across dashboards/workbooks and be used for self-service by other analysts working in the same domain.

In this role, you will:
- Support the end-to-end life cycle of visualization and analytic projects through interactive dashboards. This includes tool section, sourcing of data, ideation, documentation, peer reviews, UAT, production deployment and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data visualization solutions
- Create and maintain documentation of data visualization processes and best practices
- Continuously improve data visualization processes and tools to enhance efficiency
- Support on-going credit risk reporting responsibilities, including data profiling and defect remediation.
- Utilize technical skills to analyze and report on consumer or commercial credit risk initiatives.
- Support data monitoring and documentation to ensure data quality and proactively identify and mitigate potential risk.
- Support data and reporting efficiency and increase team productivity.
- Support change management framework and execution.
- 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 1+ year of experience with SAS and or SQL
- Strong Risk Analytics experience desired.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills.
- Well versed background as it pertains to credit risk and/or consumer lending strategy and operations. Knowledge of auto lending a plus.
- Strong experience with Tableau (preferred) or other visualization applications.
- GitHub/Jira skills preferred.
- Experience with data governance frameworks, including documentation of procedures, process controls, and data/information sources and flow.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Result orientated to deliver, self-motivated to learn and to influence.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment while developing effective partnerships in a team environment across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
