Job Summary

The Associate will help ensure the smooth and efficient operational procedures of the Studio and sales floor. This role provides and promotes exceptional customer service and hospitality to our members and demonstrates competence and knowledge of all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity of the RIDE brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Management in daily studio and store tasks and projects 
  • Respond to questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
  • Perform all front desk procedures and duties including greeting and checking in members and guests, signing up clients, and answering phones and emails 
  • Provide support to the RIDE instructors to ensure a successful class check-in process 
  • Assist with all retail operations including ringing up retail purchases
  • Learn and demonstrate product knowledge (SKUs, fit, etc.), and explain merchandise to customers
  • Operate cash register/POS, and balance drawers
  • Manage financial transactions including returns and exchanges
  • Achieve established sales and performance goals
  • Prepare and clean studio equipment (bikes, weights), floors and mirrors, as well as rented items such as shoes, gloves, mats, and towels
  • Keep common area clean, including front desk, lockers, retail shelves, office and hallways 
  • Clean and ensure proper sanitation of bathroom and changing room area 
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Keep inventory up to date and organized both on the sales floor and in back-stock
  • Conduct inventory counts
  • Work as a cohesive team with all RIDE staff members to ensure efficiency and camaraderie 
  • Share knowledge and assist with new members’ training and coaching
  • May assist with Purchase Orders
  • May be asked to partake in studio/store photoshoots for our social media accounts
  • Assist with social media posts (i.e., taking photos of product, modeling clothing for photos, posting to our social media accounts)
  • Follow all social media guidelines when assisting with social media

Skills, Abilities & Requirements

  • Available to work holiday shifts
  • Part-time employees must have at least 3 days of availability week over week, totaling 20 hours, with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday
  • Must abide to agreed upon availability 
  • Prior customer service experience with strong phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment 
  • Must demonstrate initiative and able to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to solve problems and always maintain a professional outlook
  • Must have superior organizational skills and show attention to details
  • Will be required to complete AED/CPR training and submit certification by 30th day of employment

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, climb, walk and stand for long durations of time.
  • Ability to move and lift equipment and supplies of up to 30 pounds.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, color peripheral and depth perception.
  • Noise level in the work environment is intense.

Salary Range – California

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Aviator Nation includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled. 

A reasonable estimate of pay range is $17-$20/hr.

Eligible employees may also participate in an employee benefits program as well as an incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
