AnySignal is a startup whose mission is to usher in the next generation of RF products and services. For the most demanding space and defense missions, AnySignal provides a flexible platform with world-class performance that is easy to deploy, monitor, purchase, and upgrade.
Our team has a diverse range of backgrounds that cover cloud computing to artificial intelligence, communications and sensing, embedded systems, and much more.
As an RF Electronics Engineer on the Space team, you will be responsible for owning the design, manufacture, test, and deployment of highly integrated RF devices used by a large number of space customers. You will work with a small team of software, hardware, and FPGA engineers to shepherd the product from initial design to vehicle integration, taking a full-stack approach to building robust space communications systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform trades and analysis on board and system architecture and component selection
- Bringup and test of new designs
- Coordinate with digital electronics engineers to bridge analog and digital domains
- Design for performance under space-grade acceptance, qualification, and compliance requirements, and build test plans for acceptance and qualification campaigns
- Work with mechanical engineers to ensure proper thermal dissipation of the device
- Work with supply chain counterparts to enable rapid manufacture and iteration of devices
- Troubleshoot new RF PCBAs
- Test and validate RF performance metrics in new designs
Required Skills
- Robust experience designing circuitry in microwave bands across the entirety of the RF data conversion and frontend chains
- Demonstrable experience with the end-to-end PCB design process, including schematic capture, layout, fabrication and assembly
- Experience with electronic design and analysis tools such as Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, and Altium Designer
- Excellent understanding of RF metrics such as S-parameters, P1dB, noise figure, channel power, and EVM
- Strong experience with design and analysis of RF cascades, link budgets, and noise analysis
- Experience with test instruments (oscilloscopes, power supplies, VNAs, spectrum analyzers)
- Experience with low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, mixers, ADCs/DACs, phased locked loops, oscillators, filters
Desired Skills
- Experience building complex PCBs in Altium Designer
- Experience selecting components for radiation-susceptible environments
- Experience working with AD9361, Xilinx RFSoC, and similar digital-analog conversion interfaces
- Solid experience soldering and reworking boards (0402 SMP components, QFN packages)
- Experience performing communications link modeling and solid understanding of DSP fundamentals
- Knowledge of antenna design, simulation, and measurement in near-field/far-field regimes
- Experience working with high-PAPR signals and knowledge of DPD concepts
Please feel free to apply even if you do not have 100% of the required skills listed

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene
Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
- Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
- Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
- Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
