Revenue Cycle Managers promote a healthy Accounts Receivable for clients by partnering with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of outstanding A/R. The Revenue Cycle Manager analyzes, audits, and investigates their assigned client’s A/R processes to ensure quality and provide strategic optimized solutions. The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee the daily activities for assigned clients by providing guidance and oversight to the operational teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional service. Generally, this role will support clients on a specific platform across multiple specialties. The Revenue Cycle Manager will provide their assigned clients with specialty subject matter expertise on the entire revenue cycle management process to ensure return on investments and enable the continued success and growth of assigned clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors A/R for all assigned clients which includes, but is not limited to, identifying areas for improvement applicable to the client’s specialty and platform
- Communicates any issues of concern with respect to the client’s responsibilities in the revenue cycle management process
- Accountable for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned clients
- Identifies trends affecting the client’s A/R; collaborates with the operational team to implement corrective action plans to ensure the overall health of the client’s account
- Pursues continuing education of applicable software and hardware as necessary
- Keeps current on payment trends and coding changes as well as payer requirement changes
- Participates in departmental and other meetings as requested
- Own and ensure the necessary client communications
- Communicates all client issues, including enhancement requests, bugs, errors, and inquiries, to internal stake holders
- Build, collaborate and maintain strategic relationships with external and internal clients
- Regularly share Greenway’s strategic service and product roadmaps
- Accountability for ensuring escalations for clients are addressed timely and appropriately
- Conduct analysis and deliver meaningful metrics to fuel client’s success
- Strengthen client’s knowledge on industry best practices including compliance and adherence to government and insurance payor policies
- Develop reputation as an industry expert and trusted advisor on revenue cycle and practice management processes for given specialty areas of focus
- Partner with cross functional departments to learn business needs and how it may impact both the Client Success Organization and Greenway Revenue Services
- Minimum oversite of seven hundred fifty thousand dollars in annual reoccurring revenue
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Three (3)+ Years experience in medical billing or equivalent combination of education, training and healthcare experience.
- Experience using medical billing Software required
- Five (5)+ Years experience in medical billing or equivalent combination of education, training and healthcare experience.
- Leadership Experience Greenway Revenue Services experience.
- Complete understanding of Greenway Revenue Services best practices
- Complete understanding of Greenway Revenue Services workflows AAPC – CPB Certification or Certification Eligible
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum oversite of One Million dollars in annual re-occurring revenue
- Assists with creating procedures and process documentation
- Expand already established reputation as an industry expert and trusted advisor on revenue cycle and practice management processes for given specialty areas of focus
- Thorough understanding of the people, processes, technology issues and a passion regarding
- Client Success (internal and external) and delivery/execution Assists with team development, including on-going mentoring and training
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Able to manage variety of tasks concurrently
- Able to motivate, encourage and collaborate with team effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with a variety of personality types
- Ability to drive client satisfaction and retention
- Ability to clearly articulate business needs and solutions to advocate internally and externally
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
- This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of the workday
- This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/or mobile devices
- The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
