The Revenue Accountant will support revenue operations, the analysis and reporting of the revenue function, and maintain monthly revenue recognition schedules. This role will also be responsible for identifying processes inefficiencies while assisting the accounting department in operationalizing it’s go-forward strategy as we continue to grow. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support day-to-day revenue operations, including accounts receivable, deferred revenue and revenue.
  • Maintain monthly revenue recognition schedules and manual journal entries. 
  • Perform monthly close activities, including preparation of revenue, accounts receivable and deferred revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis. 
  • Identify and communicate process inefficiencies and work cross-functionally to implement solutions. 
  • Assist with assessment of compliance with ASC606 across various product lines and brands. 
  • Assist with annual financial audits, including preparation of revenue schedules and provision of supporting documents to the external auditors. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders across various departments. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of public accounting experience 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting  
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward a CPA is preferred 
  • Proven problem solver from both an accounting and systems perspective 
  • Advanced Excel skills – experience with complex data analysis and reconciliation, mastery of formulas, and other features to handle complex tasks 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration with team members 
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team 
  • Ability to respond to, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality/accuracy
