Company Overview
Frank & Eileen was born in 2009 when former engineer Audrey McLoghlin sought to reinvent the button-up for women — a category previously focused solely on men. Inspired by Audrey’s Irish grandparents—our brand namesakes, Frank & Eileen—we have grown slowly and intentionally from our best-Italian-fabric-in-the-world-obsessed beginnings. Now a globally recognized fashion brand, Frank & Eileen is a certified woman-owned, woman-led B Corp business that has retained 100% ownership while working with the same ethical, sustainable manufacturers for over a decade. Our mission is to model and support entrepreneurship as a force for good—all from our family-friendly HQ in sunny California.

The Role
As the Retention Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in increasing customer lifetime value by supporting and executing retention campaigns across email, SMS, loyalty, and other owned channels. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, eCommerce, and customer experience to ensure campaigns align with our brand voice and business goals. You will be responsible for building, QA’ing, scheduling, and deploying all email/SMS sends while optimizing and expanding existing email/SMS programs. As we launch a mobile app in the near future, this role will also own and oversee push notification deployments. Exceptional attention to detail, along with enthusiasm and curiosity about email and SMS marketing are required to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize email/SMS marketing campaigns and app notifications (both push & in-app).
  • Assist the Global Retention Marketing Manager in future planning and strategy of email/SMS marketing campaigns and app notifications (both push & in-app).
  • Own segmenting customer audiences to create personalized, targeted campaigns aimed at driving repeat purchases and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling content and visuals for campaigns.
  • Cross-collaborate to manage the marketing calendar and coordinate campaign timelines across teams.
  • Maintain and improve automated lifecycle marketing flows (e.g. welcome series, post-purchase, win-back).
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, send times, and more to optimize campaign performance.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in email/SMS marketing and retention.
  • Support customer feedback loops to inform content and retention strategies.
  • In Partnership with the Global Retention Marketing Manager, complete all email/SMS creative briefs, including objectives, messaging, design considerations, imagery needs, product inclusion, testing and sending strategies, and list segmentation. Above all, consistently keeping customer experience top of mind.
  • Partner with the ecommerce merchandising assistant on link out strategy; ensure communication is provided as to collection pages that are needed and any merchandising required ahead of any sends.
  • Work with our Wholesale team to support them with B2B marketing needs.
  • Own weekly reporting on email performance; identify trends and react accordingly, while ensuring cross-functional partners are updated on results and go forward actions.
  • Track and report engagement and set goals to optimize campaigns and increase engagement over time.
  • As we launch an app in the near future, collaborate with teams to develop GTM launch strategy as well as ongoing push notification strategy & execution.

Who You Are

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
