OVERVIEW

The Retail Program Operations Manager oversees and drives strategic retail initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with business objectives. You will provide critical inputs to inform long term strategy, deliverables, and milestones. You will be required to collect and synthesize information across various teams, apply data and intuition and generate insights that guide decisions. You will develop and apply standard operating procedures to create sustainable processes. You will be required to collaborate horizontally throughout the organization across different levels and areas of work to drive alignment to shared goals and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of retailer success intel, keen attention to detail with the ability to strategize business growth. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-End Process Management: Drive end-to-end process management for all customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery and operational excellence. Provide guidance and oversight of process evolution and solutions to support new & changing business needs.
  • Retail Strategy & Program Development: Driving retail initiatives that enhance brand presence, sales, and customer engagement within the craft retail industry.
  • Procurement Organization: Work closely with the procurement department to unsure orders are placed for necessary materials, ensuring suppliers meet lead time and quality standards.
  • Relationship & Stakeholders Management: Develop strong partnerships with business and partners in Marketing, Inventory Planning, Warehouse Operations. Manage internal comms meetings to guide internal decisions regarding customizations, item setup, process changes, timelines, new customers, inventory planning, warehouse ops planning etc.
  • Forecast Planning and Management: Communicate daily with sales reps to determine achievable ship dates, and guide their decisions regarding orders, fulfillment, shipping, etc. Assist with forecasting, and communicate our production needs to the appropriate teams. Work with Inventory Planning on incoming inventory versus actual orders.
  • Vendor Guides/Contract Management: Work closely with the Sr Retail Program Coordinator, Sales rep and finance on the significance of chargebacks and how to access various vendors’ portals to research them as well as how to work with internal departments to confirm validity of charges and create plans to avoid additional charges for the same infraction.
  • Performance Analysis through Reporting: Prepare and present reports to senior management on account sales growth and sales data.
  • Retail Calendar: Manage the retail calendar to ensure deadlines and leatimes are met cross-departmentally
  • Customer Onboarding: Complete all vendor setup forms and financial forms for new customers, and gather required documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process Improvement – Identifying and implementing ways to streamline workflows and improve cross-functional collaboration
  • Marketing Project Liaison: Act as a bridge between different sales and marketing (stakeholders and teams) to ensure smooth execution of marketing projects.
  • Budget & Resource Management – Oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution of retail programs while maximizing impact. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree Operations Management, Business Administration or a business related field
  • 3+ years of related retailer operations experience amd EDI experience, preferably with DiCentral
  • Strong understanding of EDI document types (850, 810, etc.) and transaction processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Advanced in Excel (for data analysis, forecast review and reporting)
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, retail calendar, and order forecasting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments
  • Strong organization skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strategic thinking
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments while effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with retail, manufacturing, or supply chain EDI workflows.

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$95,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
