Position Summary:

As Hagerty grows, we continue to look for talented professionals from a variety of backgrounds to provide holistic solutions to our clients. Currently, we are seeking a Response Managing Associate to serve on an on-call basis. Candidates for response missions must be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notice and remain on-site for at least 30 days. During an activation, a Response Managing Associate will work to support the successful completion of our client’s incident objectives and coordinate with various partner agencies and Emergency Support Functions (ESFs).

This posting is being used to build a talent pipeline for potential future openings across our emergency response function. While we may not have an immediate opening, we are continuously reviewing applicants and may hire directly from this pool as roles become available, contingent upon client needs.

Responsibilities of the Response Managing Associate Include:

  • Develop critical response documents, such as Incident Action Plan (IAP) drafts and branch work assignments, coordinating input from multiple emergency operations center (EOC)/joint field office (JFO) sections.
  • Conduct needs assessments and situational analyses, identifying gaps and forecasting resource requirements.
  • Assist with the management of inter-agency coordination for operational areas, serving as a liaison to state/local government counterparts and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
  • Create and implement functional standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) protocols.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues within the EOC/JFO, providing status updates and reports to leadership as requested.

Qualifications of the Response Managing Associate Include:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university and at least three (3) years of professional experience, or a total of at least six (6) years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) Incident Command System (ICS) All-Hazards Position Specific training courses or credentials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • The ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on the client’s operational tempo.

Compensation for the Response Managing Associate Includes:

  • Salary range of $70,000-$110,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
  • Comprehensive benefits program including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending accounts (FSA) for health and transit/parking, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, sick leave, and more.
