An experienced, dependable and detail-oriented individual is needed to join a research team at the University of Southern California to participate in a new research study called the PFAS and bone health over the life course in Hispanic/Latinos: emerging risk factors and underlying mechanisms. The study is investigating the effects of PFAS exposure on bone health over the life course. 

Employment involves (1) maintaining contact with participants enrolled in the study and scheduling appointments for study visits; (2) conducting interviews in English and collecting biological specimens from women; (3) entering data into databases; and (4) providing project support to the research study and the study staff personnel and faculty investigators.

Excellent English writing and speaking skills are required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, superb problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. Flexible working hours including some weekends may be needed. Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a health related field is preferred.

The hourly rate range for this position is $35.03 - $43.79. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. Minimum Education:

Minimum Experience:

Minimum Skills:
Administrative or research experience.
Knowledge of medical environment and terminology.
Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and institutional research regulations as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and HIPPA regulations.
Proficient with MS Office applications.
Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Preferred Experience:
3 years
Preferred Skills:
Staff education and orientation experience.
Knowledge of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).
